Eurowatches Limited is a growing business operating from the North Shore of Auckland, in
beautiful New Zealand. Founded in 2006, my interest in selling quality
wristwatches wholesale-direct came originally from a lifelong passion
for wristwatches, but most items have always been un-affordable until
now. Over the years I purchased various watches that I either found at
wholesale markets, or I paid retail for them.
These days, it's not unusual for people to have more than one watch and
we now often swap our watch to match our mood, our outfit or our
occupation.
I'm thrilled to be able to continue my passion for great
watches, so after having built strong relationships
with US and Singapore suppliers I am eager to spread my passion for
these wonderful items and make them so much more affordable for all of
you!
People often ask me, "How is it possible that you can sell so cheap?" Well, the answer is simple:
We
buy all of our products from overseas wholesalers and sell directly to
the public. We don't pay exorbitant rental for having a retail store,
and of course then also have only a very minimal number of staff, just one! (me). The rest is passed on as an incredible saving to you as the
buyer. By buying from Eurowatches Limited, you are effectively tapping into the
wholesale market.
Another question we often get is "How come your models are not on the local websites?" And again the answer is simple:
As
mentioned, our suppliers are located in either the USA or Singapore.
Model ranges for each of the manufacturer's products that we sell vary
depending on the geographic region. New Zealand is a relatively small
market and it would be senseless for local wholesalers to stock every
conceivable model available from the global market just to supply New
Zealand. As a result, the models available here can be quite different
from the ones we sell, while in some cases we do stock the same
items. No matter what the model, one thing you can rely on is that we
will be priced considerably cheaper than any manufacturer's recommended
retail, whether it be a US market model, or a local market model.
If we can't beat the retail price, we won't sell it!
Well, now a little more about how I trade:
In brief, you should know the following about us: We
are a parallel importer of wristwatches and are located in Auckland,
New Zealand. Our unique online trade policy makes it possible
to offer you the best possible prices. We will bring you only brand new
items, current models, latest styles. They are not factory seconds,
knock-offs, imitations or any way inferior to the items you will find
at retail stores. We do not have a retail outlet and therefore don't
have the massive overheads that most watch retailers do. If you're
wondering about the validity of warranty in New Zealand for the
products we sell, rest assured we take our responsibilities seriously.
We offer warranty on all fixed price sales. Please see the 'warranty'
tab for details of warranty.
Another important feature of our
business is that product is supplied to you from our warehouse. We do
NOT drop-ship products direct to you from overseas, so you know you are
getting your item with the least possible hassle and no Customs
hold-ups or payment required.
You
are welcome to browse my site and my product listings. Local buyers
can buy online and opt to collect their item directly from me. I also
offer courier delivery services to any destination in New Zealand, plus
International Air or International Air Express services to any overseas
location. I aim to provide every buyer with a personal and individualised service second to none on the internet, and I'm always
happy to receive emails from you and answer any questions you have
about the products.
One thing that you might be concerned about
in regards to trading online is that you are being sold a fraudulent
item. Rest assured, all of our items are 100% genuine.
That's right, all items are 100% genuine. No question! Check our TradeMe Store feedback to see what buyers have said about us!

Introducing: Peter Bernard
Born in Holland in1968 and now living in Albany, Auckland, I am the father of two awesome sons. My real name is in fact ‘Pieter’, but so many Kiwis have trouble with this spelling that I use the more easily recognised version. I have lived in New Zealand since 1971 and consider myself to be a New Zealander.
As with most people, my life has not been without challenges, but I think everything you experience should somehow add something to your repertoire of skills – as they say: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. I would like to think that I am more enlightened about life now than every before, perhaps putting truth into my parents’ words when they once said “we know better about these things than you because of our age and experiences”.
My passion for wristwatches goes back many years.
I remember as a child, having gone on holiday with my parents to Europe, I was bought a brand new watch by my uncle. It was a Helicon Swiss quartz jewelled movement, probably not too highly appreciated at the time for it's engineering quality, but certainly making an impression on me as an 8 year old boy. It was just what I wanted.
Not too many years later I'm a little ashamed to admit that I was tempted (and did) disassemble my precious Helicon. It was a marvel, taking apart sections of the movement, removing jewels, gears and electrical circuit. A true fascination developed with taking things apart and wanting to put them back together again. Sadly, my Helicon never worked again, nor did I seriously expect it to. I did become somewhat more practiced at 'tinkering' over the following years, not just with watches (actually seldom with watches because they were just too darned expensive and hard to get my hands on) but with all manner of small electronic bits and bobs.
At the same time that I was gaining skills in electronics and repair I also 'developed' an interest in photography. I was making images of all sorts of things (as you do), great and small, from little bugs in the garden to magnificent sunsets and landscapes.
A combination of these skills eventually led to me being heavily involved in the photographic industry, in 1995 landing a job as the national trainer in photo-lab operations for the NZ branch of a US film manufacturer. I needed to know the ins and outs of not only photography, but also electronics and chemistry support, training skills, customer service, retail environments, management and much more. I had also owned my own retail outlet prior to this, and was involved in retail since 1985.
In 2002 after a serious accident left me lying on my back for a month in hospital it inspired me to move into different things in life. I first gained a Batchelor's degree then Honour's degree in Linguistics, (purely for interest's sake), and at the same time began to develop connections in the wristwatch import-export and retail business.
What started as a necessity to pay for studies eventually became my full-time employment. I had founded Eurowatches Limited, somewhat ironically named unless you know some of the background: I am by European by birth. It was also (and still is) the long term goal of Eurowatches Limited to supply a range of watches sourced from European manufacturers. One of the stumbling blocks to dealing in higher priced product is the matter of trust, reputation and reliability particularly since I was selling online. Hence, a strong beginning with lower priced items from other manufacturers was more effective to begin with.
