Eurowatches Limited is a wholly New Zealand owned and operated company. We're located in Albany, North Shore City.
I believe local sales and service is very important for New Zealanders because it ensures that you are dealing with a real person in a real company selling real products. How so? In most cases you are welcome to collect your purchase from us direct. There are no real pricing advantages in doing so, but you can be assured that the product you receive is indeed exactly what you ordered and/or paid for. You can inspect the item, try it on and have the opportunity to change your mind if it doesn't suit. This would be impossible if you bought from overseas.
Dealing locally also means that you are properly protected by New Zealand laws. The Consumer Guarantees and Fair Trading Acts both ensure consumer protection for items sold in New Zealand. Eurowatches Limited ensures that all requirements are met or exceeded. These laws do not cover sales from overseas websites, instead you become responsible for any product imported. I also truly believe in good solid old-fashioned customer service and it's my goal to provide that without fail.
Buying locally instead of from overseas websites also means that your purchase price will include GST and duty already, no hidden surprises! Just like buying from a shop at the mall: the price is the final price! Overseas websites may sometimes look attractive but their prices do not include any GST or duty which must be paid to NZ Customs, plus any extra hassle and costs that might be associated with customs clearance. Items above $400 are stopped automatically when entering NZ and have GST and duties added. Items under $400 are stopped randomly. Falsely declared items are confiscated.
Another direct benefit from local trade is that your money is safe and secure. In fact you can hold onto it right up until the moment when you want to take your collected item from us and are already fully satisfied that both the trade and the item are 100% genuine. You can also feel good in knowing that you are supporting a New Zealand business that provides income for its NZ employees. The money stays right here. Who knows, we also might buy something from you, or support the business you work for. That's very unlikely if you've bought from overseas.

If I can't guarantee a great price for you, I won't import it!
I believe that the best way to reach the market is by selling direct, either through this website, through our TradeMe Store or by one-on-one contact. My direct sales policy and the fact that I do not operate a retail shop "bricks and mortar" style business means that my overheads are far lower than those types of retail businesses. The net result is that I can offer prices that I can guarantee will always be below the New Zealand Recommended Retail Price. Kiwis, just like anyone else, want the best possible price on the item they are buying. At Eurowatches, I believe we achieve this consistently. The "best deal" idea should always consider factors like warranty and after-sales service. Is it included in the price you are paying? With Eurowatches it always is.
You will be able to buy the exact same products from us that would be able to get at a retail store. They are in no way inferior, no fakes, no knockoffs and no factory seconds, fire sale or defective items.
As a parallel importer, I am not allowed to 'create' or 'establish' RRPs as I please. We have to base all RRP quotes on actual retail prices that can be proven to be accurate. Often, foreign websites will note any kind of price they please, whatever makes their prices look more attractive. Some NZ online sellers seem to do this too! I make every effort to quote accurate and up-to-date prices. If you have found that we've slipped up somehow, let me know and if the stock is available, I will still guarantee to better their price!
Just like I mentioned in the section above, my prices include GST, we are registered with IRD and are listed on the NZ Companies Register. Would you want to deal with someone who is obviously trading regularly but is not registered legally? What could that say about the product they are selling to you too?
Warranty is an important part of any product and a legal requirement for any new item sold in New Zealand. Eurowatches issues its own warranties. This means that if something goes wrong with the watch you have bought from me, I'll be happy to make sure it's fixed.
I believe it's important for buyers to feel assured that in case there was a problem that they were not going to be left with a dud.
All warranties are 'return-to-base', meaning you would need to send the watch to me for repair or service. In fact, I'll go one step further with in some cases and simply give you a replacement item. In New Zealand it's illegal for a parallel importer to defer warranty to another party without their express permission. This means I cannot offer a 'manufacturer' warranty, because the manufacturer's representative here has no obligation whatsoever to do no-charge repairs on an item they did not import to this country. I will arrange all repairs required for your warranty claim if something should go wrong. During the warranty period this will be at my expense, not yours.
How would you be able to contact me if you have a claim? Eurowatches will provide you with all contact details at time of sale, phone number, free-call number, fax number, email addresses, cell-phone number, website address and postal address. We are also listed in the Finda directory, UBD, NZS and are very easy to Google. In the case of 1 year and 2 year warranties, you will also receive a copy of our warranty policy which also has contact details on it.
